The Jacks

The Jacks were born in North Boise, Idaho in the summer of 2008. Jay R. Nelson and brother Justin were getting together often to share and play tunes they had been writing and learning. It didn’t take them long to compile enough songs to start playing out. The current trio has since evolved into a powerful representation of mid-Americana style music incorporating elements of folk, country, rock, blues, and jazz. The Jacks have been playing music in and around the West since it’s inception and takes on influences from the likes of Johnny Cash, Graham Parsons, Neil Young, the Beatles, and many, many, more…
