Versatile is the best way to describe John Cazan’s musical ability. He’s all over the map, literally. Growing up listening to a blend of Pop, Classical and Motown radio he began playing drums and five years later heard Eric Clapton play the blues. Thus began a relationship with the guitar involving all the styles; rock, country, jazz, reggae, funk, and all the states; United States, that is. John has played with; Canadian band Lighthouse....Country Swing recording artists Nighthawk Diner....Touring rock band The Doctors....Contemporary Jazz recording artist Dr. Bombay....Reggae recording artist Azz Izz (latest CD Based On A True Story)...also opening for BTO, Bryan Adams, Al Jarreau, The Rippingtons, Joe Sample, Three Dog Night, America, The Beach Boys, and backing Coasters, Drifters, Lil Anthony and the Imperials. With a move to Boise in 2002 John began performing solo featuring material his original music and songs from his diverse background, both acoustic and with the aid of backing tracks that set a groovin’ backdrop for his soulful vocals and guitar work.
