Boise Blues Society
The Boise Blues Society (BBS) is a non-profit organization of blues music supporters celebrating 23 years in Boise, Idaho. Part of our mission to “promote and preserve blues music” includes providing musicians to introduce blues music, and the lessons that go with it, to kids in their schools. Our Blues in the Schools (BITS) program began in 2006 and is provided at no cost to participating schools as part of our outreach efforts.
BBS sponsors 6-8 concerts a year with touring blues artists, 3 major events including mid-summer’s Boise Blues Festival, and participates in many other local blues events, community workshops and school programs.
